At the beginning of the summer, I didn’t exactly understand it yet, but I had begun the journey of encompassing the qualities of the Emperor tarot. I had been going through all the necessary changes in my life to incorporate the skill and spirit of this tarot card in my actions and thoughts. The emperor is powerful, protective, and vigilant. I myself hadn’t fully embodied these characteristics in meaningful ways before this shift. I had learned them, I knew them, and I had studied them, but in some of my relationships and dynamics, I hadn’t started enacting these qualities for one reason or another.
In a previous blog, I talked about healing my father wound, about how I lost parts of myself to hold space for the trauma that my father had put me through, and that with the act of finding myself I began to shrink the space that held that trauma, which allowed me to begin to release it. That was towards the tail end of spring and since then I have had spiritual lesson after spiritual lesson moving me forward to reclaim my power, to truly embody aspects of the Emperor tarot in my everyday life.
I hadn’t known it at the time, but the divine had set out this path for me and that became clearer on the summer solstice, my birthday. I received the emperor card during a tarot reading and was told that this was an influence I was to embrace. At the time it didn’t hold as much weight as it’s holding now as the summer is coming to a close and we’re all nearing the fall equinox.
It took a month for my spirit team to set me up to accept this spiritual transformation and then an entire season to guide me through it all. From the summer solstice to the fall equinox I have transitioned, and finally, the day before the last full moon of the season I feel the culmination of this shift. Using the term powerful would be an understatement. I was guided by the divine, moved into a space that I have never been before, turning with the seasons and moon phases.
Once you tap into the rhythms of the universe you truly find guidance and harmony in impressive ways. If you’re just beginning your journey know that you’re doing great and that like the seasons, it takes time and that for real change to manifest you need to be patient and let nature take its course.
